ON THE SIDELINES : Eleanor Mondale, Athlete to Divorce
Eleanor Mondale, the only daughter of former Vice President Walter F. Mondale and his wife, Joan, is legally separated from Chicago Bears offensive tackle Keith Van Horne and expects their divorce to be final in December.
“We’re definitely getting divorced, but we’re on good terms. It was a mutual thing,” Eleanor Mondale told the St. Paul Pioneer Press Dispatch. Mondale, 29, who will debut as a life styles and entertainment reporter for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis in September, was married to Van Horne in April, 1988.
