A woman who claimed that she was Raymond Buckey’s lover testified today that the only reason she came forward was to tell the truth at the McMartin Pre-School molestation trial.

Under cross-examination by the prosecutor she declined to say that she was trying to help Buckey.

“You offered to do what you could to help Raymond Buckey, didn’t you?” Deputy Dist. Atty. Lael Rubin asked.

“I offered to tell the truth,” Barbara Dusky Goles said.

Defense attorney Danny Davis focused again on the sexual relationship, asking: “Was there anything abnormal, unusual or unhealthy that you experienced about Raymond Buckey?”

“Never!” the witness said emphatically.

Goles, 37, came forward at the end of the defense case in the marathon child molestation trial Monday and said she and Buckey had sexual intercourse during a weekend in Lake Tahoe in 1982. The woman testified that she saw “no possibility” that Buckey could be a child molester.
