Scenes of Newport Beach by three local artists will be donated to the city by the Newport Beach Arts Commission Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers. A painting by John Cosby and watercolors by Scott Kennedy and Ruth Hynd (a former Newport Beach resident who now lives in Mendocino) will be added to other views of the city, which the commission has been collecting since the early 1970s. The presentation will launch the Newport Beach Salute to the Arts, Oct. 5 through 7. The public is invited.
