UCLA Student Wins Design Competition
Andres Jost, a student in the interior design program at UCLA Extension, has taken first place in the student design category of the American Society of Interior Designers/Du Pont annual Corian national design competition.
Corian is a solid, non-porous surfacing material often used for countertops, sinks, shower walls and wainscoting. Jost’s design for a coffee table sculpted form Corian and accented with metal and glass was hailed as “exceptionally imaginative” by the judging committee.
Jost was given the award and a check for $1,000 at the society’s annual conference.
