Chula Vista
A 48-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday morning in Chula Vista, police said.
The body of Antonio Flores, hometown unavailable, was found slumped in the driver’s seat of a car parked in the 1500 block of Point Delgada Court shortly after 8:30 a.m., Chula Vista Police Lt. Dean Girdner Jr. said. Flores had been shot several times.
Area residents reported hearing gunfire, then seeing two cars speed away, Girdner said.
When police entered the home nearest to the parked car, a phone caller to the residence told them he had information about the shooting, Girdner said. But the man failed to show up or provide the information.
Police have been unable to find the residents of the house and have no motive or suspects in the killing, Girdner said.
