NEWS BRIEFS : East L.A. YMCA Receives Honor

Volunteers and staff members from the Weingart-East Los Angeles YMCA received an award for program development and implementation at the 107th annual meeting of the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles.
The East Los Angeles Y offers a variety of courses, including citizenship and English as a second language. An ESL/amnesty course is given in 10-week sessions. The next session starts in mid-October. Information: (213) 260-7005
