Fire Hits Vegas Hotel

LAS VEGAS —
A fire in a construction area at the Riviera Hotel and Casino forced the evacuation of guests from 2,000 rooms of the Las Vegas Strip resort late this morning. No injuries were reported. The fire blackened a section of the original hotel high-rise, a nine-story structure built in 1953.
