San Diego State wide receiver Patrick Rowe underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee, trainer Brian Barry said.
The surgery is expected to keep Rowe out of practice for three to four weeks, Barry said. But Coach Al Luginbill said before the surgery that he expected Rowe would be redshirted regardless of what was found during the procedure.
Rowe, a junior from Lincoln High School, injured the knee in practice six weeks ago and did not play in the season opener Sept. 2 at Air Force.
