Longshot Attend To Detail Catches 4-5 Favorite, Wins Las Ninas Stakes

Longshot Attend To Detail caught odds-on favorite Bif at the sixteenth pole and went on to win the $37,640 Las Ninas Stakes at Fairplex Park Friday.

Attend To Detail stalked the 4-5 choice to the top of the stretch. Jockey Fernando Valenzuela steered the daughter of Full Out to the outside of Bif at that point and pulled away to win by three-quarters of a length.

The winning time of 1:16 3/5 for the 6 1/2 furlongs was the best in four runnings of the Las Ninas at that distance.

Bif enjoyed a clear lead most of the way in her first start since July 1. She finished two lengths ahead of One Night Love.

Attend To Detail returned $21.40, $7 and $4.80. Bif paid $3.20 and $2.40, and One Night Love returned $3.80. The $5 exacta combination paid $118.50.
