LOCAL : Gunman Robs Fountain Valley Store

A Thrifty’s store in Fountain Valley was robbed by a man brandishing a revolver, police said today.
The man was described as white, about 30, 5-foot 11-inches and 180 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair, Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Larry Griswold said. After pulling the revolver from his jacket, the man took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register of the store in the 8900 block of Warner Avenue and walked west toward Magnolia Street about 9 p.m. Monday, Griswold said.
