Myron Jones ran for two touchdowns and Aaron Craver rushed for 101 yards as Fresno State ran away from Utah State, 34-7, in a Big West Conference game Saturday at Logan, Utah.

Steven Shelley also caught five passes for 132 yards as the Bulldogs improved to 6-0, 3-0 in the conference.

The Bulldogs’ 13-game winning streak is the longest in school history and second-longest in the nation behind Notre Dame.

The Aggies (1-5 and 1-1) played close for one quarter before Fresno State took control after capitalizing on three Utah State fumbles in the first half.

Jones helped the Bulldogs draw first blood when he scored from six yards out on a sweep to the left side when Fresno State had a fourth-and-two with 10:24 left in the first quarter.

His second touchdown, a four-yard run with 1:05 left in the first half, gave Fresno State a 20-7 lead. Fresno State’s Steve Loop also kicked field goals of 27 and 22 yards, both coming after Utah State fumbles.

Tulsa 34, New Mexico St. 13--Dan Bitson caught two touchdown passes, one on a 44-yard pass play in the second quarter, as the Hurricane beat the winless Aggies of the Big West in a nonconference game at Tulsa, Okla.

Fullback Brett Adams picked up 123 yards in 21 carries, including a 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for Tulsa (4-3).

David Fuess added a pair of field goals of 26 and 29 yards and tight end Bill Buehner scored on a 12-yard pass from quarterback T.J. Rubley for an insurance score in the fourth quarter.
