Jockey Didericksen Wins Aboard Sompin To Sea
Sompin To Sea won the seventh race by a neck, giving jockey Kip Didericksen his second victory on Saturday night’s card at Los Alamitos Race Course.
Didericksen has 39 wins in 25 nights, averaging 1.6 per racing card. Didericksen tied Kenny Hart’s record of 126 victories during the summer season.
Sompin To Sea was the betting favorite of the crowd of 10,241. Sompin To Sea, who paid $4.60 to win, charged from fifth at the gap to finish the 350 yards in :17.94 seconds.
The brown mare is trained by Frank Monteleone, who also trained the winner in the first race, The Bankruptor, which Didericksen also rode to a come-from-behind win.
