While World Series tickets are being scalped for hundreds of dollars, Patrick Fuller gave his nearly front-row seats to a 12-year-old cancer victim from Chicago.

Fuller gave up his seats to Game 2 Sunday night so a thrilled Jason Maslin, who has leukemia, could get his dream wish of seeing his first World Series game.

“At first I didn’t believe it,” Jason, sporting a brand new A’s cap, said from his prized seat at the Oakland Coliseum. “I still can’t believe I’m here.”

Fuller met Jason for the first time when the youngster arrived in California with his mother, Pat Gear.

“Quite honestly, I was more excited about giving him the tickets at the airport than I would have been watching the game,” Fuller said.

Jason’s mother tried to get her son Series tickets through the Chicago wish foundation that helps sick children fulfill their dreams.

It looked as if the attempt would fail until a baseball fan in Chicago heard about it and called a friend in California, Fuller.

Fuller said he decided with his wife, Kathy, to give up their seats to Game 2 for Jason.

“We thought it would be good for him to come and see the game,” Fuller, a Concord insurance claims adjuster, said. “I just thought it’s much more important that Jason see the game than it is for me.”
