BIG WEST ROUNDUP : Fresno State Rolls Past Las Vegas, Sets Up Showdown With San Jose
Aaron Craver and Myron Jones, two junior college transfers from Southern California, led a Fresno State rushing attack that gained a season-high 424 yards as the undefeated Bulldogs beat Nevada Las Vegas, 31-17, Saturday night in a Big West Conference game at Fresno.
The Bulldogs, who have won 15 in a row, improved to 8-0 overall this season and 5-0 in the conference to set up next Saturday night’s Big West showdown against San Jose State in Fresno.
Carver, from El Camino College, gained 212 yards in 28 carries and scored one touchdown; Jones, from L.A. Valley, had 159 in 22 carries and scored twice.
San Jose State 34, New Mexico State 6--Sheldon Canley ran for 208 yards and two touchdowns for the Spartans (4-3 and 3-0) at San Jose. The Aggies are 0-8 and 0-4.
