Bank Robber Gets $1,200 With Note
Orange County sheriff’s deputies searched the Laguna Hills area for a man who escaped with $1,200 after robbing a neighborhood bank Saturday.
The robber entered the Great Western Bank at the corner of Alicia Parkway and Paseo de Valencia about 10 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money, Lt. Jay Mendez said. After the teller handed over $1,200, the bandit fled on foot.
Mendez said witnesses could not determine whether the robber was armed. “There was no mention of a weapon,” he said.
The robber was described as a slim white male in his 20s, 6 feet tall. He was wearing tinted glasses, a T-shirt and blue jeans, Mendez said.
