STATE : Mistrial for TV Actor Bridges
Jurors who acquitted television actor Todd Bridges of attempted murder at a crack house told a judge today they were deadlocked on an assault charge against Bridges, prompting a mistrial.
Bridges, who was featured on the television series “Diff’rent Strokes,” was charged with firing eight shots at Kenneth (Tex) Clay and slashing his throat during a Feb. 2 attack at a South-Central Los Angeles house where crack cocaine was sold. The jurors earlier acquitted Bridges, 24, of attempted murder and the lesser charge of attempted voluntary manslaughter.
