Latest Round of Tests Finds Most Tracksters Drug-Free

Thirteen of 14 track and field athletes selected at random during the second week of a new year-round drug testing program tested negative, the Athletics Congress said today.

The 14th, who was not identified, did not report for testing and is under review by a committee of TAC, the national governing body for track and field in the United States.

During the previous week, 11 of 14 tested negative and three did not report for testing.

The second group, testing negative during the week of Oct. 9, included Patricia Davis, Raleigh, N.C.; Tranel Hawkins, Los Gatos, Calif.; Allen James, Newport Beach, Calif.; Dot Jones, Fresno, Calif.; Neal Kneip, Bellevue, Wash.; Henry Marsh, Bountiful, Utah; Rose Monday, Los Angeles; Wendy Sharp, Florissant, Colo.; Judi St. Hilaire, Fall River, Mass.; Bill Taylor, Charlevoix, Mich.; John Tillman, Austin, Tex.; Diane Williams, Los Angeles; and Jan Chesbro Wohlschlag, Tucson, Ariz.
