Man Pleads Guilty to 4 Bank Robberies
A bank robber known as the “Mr. Magoo bandit” because of the thick eyeglasses that he wore during holdups has pleaded guilty to four counts of robbery.
Robert Michael Graham, a 33-year-old transient, admitted robbing two Torrance banks of more than $8,400 on the same day in March, and to stealing more than $6,400 from two other banks in Westlake Village and Long Beach in robberies in April and October.
Charges against Graham in eight other robberies from March until his Oct. 3 arrest were to be dropped in exchange for his guilty plea, Assistant U.S. Atty. Jennifer Lum said.
