Stripers Provide Rare Treat

Share

Fishermen at Riverside County’s Lake Skinner have been pleasantly surprised by the rare showing of striped bass, and none more so than San Jacinto’s Rick Brant, who recently caught a 17 3/4-pounder.

A spokesman at the reservoir said: “We don’t get very many stripers, but occasionally some filter in from the Colorado River. I know of about 10 that have been caught so far.”
