Seattle Seahawks safety Paul Moyer reportedly has a ruptured disk in his neck that will sideline him the rest of the season and could end his football career.
Moyer suffered a reoccurrence of a “stinger”--a burning sensation usually around the neck area--in Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants, said Dave Neubert, team spokesman.
Moyer has had the problem several times since he suffered a concussion in the Seahawks’ Nov. 12 game against Cleveland and was sent to a specialist, Neubert said.
Reports say the examination revealed the ruptured disc.
