Rick Majerus, basketball coach of the University of Utah, is scheduled to undergo coronary bypass surgery today and is not expected to return to his duties this season.
Majerus, 41, had chest pains after a game two weeks ago, and doctors determined that his condition was serious enough to require open-heart surgery.
Assistant Joe Cravens will be the interim coach for the remainder of the season.
