Water Turned Off for Repair of Main
Thousands of residents in homes south of Chula Vista to the border were scheduled to be without running water for nine hours until 7 a.m. today as San Diego Water Utilities workers repaired a 33-inch water main.
Water was turned off at 10 p.m. Saturday.
Nestor, Palm City and San Ysidro were among the communities affected. Four water trucks were available to provide water to residents.
The water main runs west of the Otay Mesa Pump Plant, said Ken Wisniewki, a SDWU dispatcher.
