A Film of Stone
In the midst of Dutka’s highly informative profile of Stone, there is one minor error: Stone’s initial effort as a director was the stunningly strange exercise in shock titled “Seizure,” filmed in Canada seven years before he directed “The Hand.”
Students of cinema who want to catalogue Stone’s demons can find a whole platoon on parade in this bizarre tale of a novelist whose loved ones are forced through a gantlet of nightmare by three sinister psychos.
