‘911’ to the Rescue: Glenn and Annie Murphy of St. Louis saved the lives of their children as a result of watching an installment of CBS’ “Rescue 911” in Annie Murphy’s hospital room. Annie Murphy, under observation for a mysterious illness, was watching the show when the couple realized her symptoms mirrored those of an elderly woman who had become ill from a gas leak at her home. Glenn Murphy rushed home to find three children unconscious and one disoriented; he rushed them to the hospital and all family members have recovered.
