Cornerback Lewis Billups of the Cincinnati Bengals was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling a gun in his car, Cincinnati police said.
Police said that two undercover officers saw Billups, 25, display a handgun in a vehicle Thursday in downtown Cincinnati. They put out a broadcast for Billups’ arrest and the defensive back was stopped a few miles away in Ft. Wright, Ky., just outside Cincinnati. Billups was released from jail Thursday night after posting $500 bond. He was scheduled for arraignment this morning.
