Captions for the Deaf on Local TV News
KABC television has just started captioning its local news programs, and as a deaf person this is the most wonderful Christmas present I could receive.
We’ve had closed-captioning on the national news for quite a few years now, and I love it. To have captioning on the local news--to be able to know what is going on here in Southern California--will be just wonderful.
Closed-captioned television along with the telephone device for the hearing-impaired (TDD) and the California Relay Service have really changed my life. I hope you will publish this news so that all the deaf people in Southern California will know about this wonderful gift from KABC Eyewitness News.
