Laurel Races Canceled Tuesday Because of Track Condition
Associated Press
LAUREL, Md. —
Racing was canceled after the fourth race Tuesday at Laurel Race Course because jockeys said Monday’s rain and snow left the track too sloppy.
The jockeys met after the fourth event on the card and decided to refuse to continue riding, citing excessive water on the track.
Racing is expected to resume Thursday. Wednesdays are regularly off days at Laurel.
