First Pick Nine of Season Worth $259,201 to Winner

A single Pick Nine ticket purchased at a Santa Anita Inter-Track Wagering site on Friday had the winners of all nine races and was worth $259,201 to the fan holding it. The ticket had not been cashed at the close of the day. This is the first time in the first 20 days of the winter-spring meeting that the Pick Nine has been won. The pool included a carryover of $240,755 from Thursday’s program.

The biggest longshot on the winning ticket came in the first race when No. 4, Rainbeau For Becky, paid $17 to win. In order, the other winning numbers, horses and win mutuels were: (3) Lager ($10.60), (5) Senegalaise ($8.20), (5) Vital Decision ($7.80), (5) Bit O’Dip ($7.80), (5) Perforce ($5.40), (4) For My Friends ($3.80), (4) Complicate ($9.20), (7) Greek Turf ($8.20).
