American Video to Merge With Texas Leasing Firm

American Video Clearinghouse, a Westlake Village company that plans to rent videocassettes by mail, said shareholders unanimously approved a non-cash merger with privately held Comprehensive Leasing Corp. of Austin, Tex. The deal calls for Comprehensive to receive newly issued stock giving it an 80% stake in American Video and for current American Video stockholders to obtain a 20% interest in the merged company.
