Vikings’ Millard Arrested Again for Drunk Driving
Keith Millard, the NFL’s defensive player of the year, was charged with drunk driving Monday, the 12th such incident involving Minnesota Viking players in the past four years.
Bloomington Police Sgt. Frank Heino said Millard was arrested at 12:51 a.m. when his vehicle was stopped near a residential neighborhood in a 40 m.p.h. traffic zone. Heino said Millard was charged with speeding and drunk driving. It was the second time in a year Millard was arrested on a charge of drunk driving.
Millard, 27, was booked at and released pending a March 27 court appearance. Millard admitted he was speeding but said he was “nowhere close to being drunk.”
Last March 22, Millard was arrested by police in Redmond, Wash., on four misdemeanor counts, including drunk driving and threatening police officers. In July he was placed on probation, ordered to abstain from alcohol, complete two years of counseling and perform community service work.
