DIGEST : Hankinson to Speak at Coaches’ Forum

Mel Hankinson, the men’s basketball coach at The Master’s College, will be one of three keynote speakers at a coaches’ conference held before the NCAA Division I championship game in Denver on April 2.
Michigan Coach Steve Fisher and Missouri assistant Rich Daly also will speak at the conference.
A learn-by-doing track and field clinic will be held at Cal State Northridge from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday before an all-comers meet at noon.
The clinic staff will include Northridge Coach Don Strametz (who will discuss middle-distance training), assistants Tony Veney (sprints and relays), Bob Augello (long distances), Dan Lange (shotput/discus) and Tim Werner (pole vault). Coach Charlie DiMarco of the On Track club will discuss the high jump.
