Severed Cable Causes Phone Service Outage
A severed cable, most likely cut by a construction crew, knocked out telephone service Monday morning to 2,400 phone lines in the Antelope Valley, Pacific Bell officials said.
Customers in the communities of Lake Los Angeles and Littlerock lost service about 8:20 a.m., and the lines were operating again by noon. The prefixes 261, 264 and 944 were affected by the outage.
