The brother of boxer Thomas Hearns has received a 25- to 50-year prison sentence for killing his girlfriend in the boxer’s home.
Circuit Judge Jessica Cooper sentenced Henry Hearns Tuesday in Pontiac, Mich., for second-degree murder, said Bill Irving, a research attorney for Cooper. The judge also gave him a two-year term for a felony firearms conviction. The sentences are to be served consecutively.
