Marie’s Country Music

While I didn’t agree with the introduction in Jim Washburn’s recent review of Marie Osmond (“Osmond Gains Spark as a Country Girl,” Jan. 17), I’d like to thank him for an otherwise positive review of her show. The best thing Marie has done in her career is to go back to country music. She always puts on a very entertaining show and people are always surprised by her personable stage manner.

Osmond is one of the few entertainers around who can look you straight in the eye and make you feel right at home. It’s true that Marie Osmond is not 100% country; she doesn’t claim to be. But country music fans are just happy to have her.
