SLOUCHING TOWARD THE MILLENNIUM
Just a brief note on terminology. Harry Edwards refers to NBA player Sarunas Marciulionis as “Russian.” He is not. He is Lithuanian, and therefore (as long as Lithuania remains a part of the Soviet Union) may also be called a Soviet. Russian refers to only one of the republics and only one of the many ethnic groups that make up the U.S.S.R.
