Seven suspected gang members were arrested Tuesday in the drive-by shootings of four people in Logan Heights, according to police.
Police spokesman Bill Robinson said that police street gang and special enforcement units arrested the youths at their homes on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, and bodily damage. The seven are suspected in four separate shootings over seven months beginning in July. During one of the shootings, a victim was blinded by a shot in the eye.
During the search, police confiscated a .22 caliber rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun, Robinson said.
He said that the youths, ranging in ages from 15 to 17, were taken to the San Diego County Juvenile Hall in Kearny Mesa.
