WCC ROUNDUP : San Diego Wins, Stays in Race

The University of San Diego kept alive its slim hopes for a West Coast Conference title tie Thursday night with a 96-84 victory over the University of San Francisco at San Diego.
Loyola Marymount (20-4, 11-0 in the WCC) clinched at least a tie for the championship by beating Pepperdine Wednesday night.
John Jerome had 24 points and 18 rebounds for the Toreros (13-10, 8-3), who have won six consecutive games and 10 of 13.
Joel DeBortoli scored 28 points for USF (7-16, 3-7), which has lost five in a row.
