A Talk on Seaport City in Ancient Palestine

Share

A lecture on the archeology and history of Caesarea Maritima, a seaport city in ancient Palestine, will be presented by University of Colorado Prof. Robert Hohlfelder on Tuesday evening at the Laguna Hills United Methodist Church.

After archeological research begun in 1980 revealed new historical and cultural information on Caesarea Maritima, the city became the subject of a National Geographic Society documentary. Museums throughout the United States have had exhibits based on the new data.

The lecture, the first in a series on the theme of biblical archeology, will begin at 7 p.m. at the church, 24442 Moulton Parkway. Laguna Hills United Methodist Church and Temple Judea are sponsoring the event. For more information, call Charles Gunnerson at (714) 768-9484.
