Two teen-agers were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man in Logan Heights early Friday, police said.
Two officers were on patrol at 2 a.m. in the 3600 block of Main Street when witnesses told them a man had been shot in a nearby Vesta Street duplex, police spokesman Dave Cohen said.
The witnesses directed police to two teen-agers near Vesta and Dalbergia streets, where a 15- and a 17-year-old were arrested. One of the boys had a .22-caliber revolver, police said.
The victim was found in a back bedroom of the residence in the 2000 block of Vesta Street, with a gunshot wound in his upper body, police said. He died an hour later at UC San Diego Medical Center. His identity was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
