Maxwell Laboratories: The San Diego-based high-tech firm reported that net income rose 31% to $664,000 for the second quarter ended Jan. 31, up from $505,000 during the same quarter a year earlier. Second-quarter revenue rose 39% to $19 million, up from $13.7 million.
Net income for the six-month period ended Jan. 31 rose 26% to $1.6 million, up from $1.3 million. Revenue rose 38% to $40.6 million, up from $29.3 million.
Total backlog on Jan. 31 was $113.8 million, up from $109 million a year ago.
