SANTA ANA — County Supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez said Wednesday that he will open satellite offices for constituents living in the northern and southern ends of his sprawling 3rd District.
It will be the first time any of the five Orange County supervisors has opened branch offices, Vasquez said. All their offices are on the fifth floor of the County Hall of Administration in the Civic Center complex in downtown Santa Ana.
“This is bringing government to the people. I believe it is vital that we, as elected officials, be as accessible as possible,” Vasquez said, adding that he has eight cities and several unincorporated areas to represent in his district.
The branch offices, according to Vasquez staff members, are designed to ease the inconvenience of driving long distances into downtown Santa Ana.
