San Diego Arts Panel Selects 27 Grant Winners

The city’s Commission for Arts and Culture on Friday awarded almost $90,000 in a special project grant program that attracted 50 applicants. Twenty-seven grants were awarded to projects that involve culturally diverse art forms, encourage collaboration between organizations or promote tourism. The maximum allowable award was $5,000. Final approval must come from the City Council’s Public Safety and Services Committee and the full council. Once approved, the projects must be completed by June 30.

The recommended grants, in order of ranking by the commission’s review panel, are:
