If you’ve been dying to know when Whitesnake is coming back--die no more. David Coverdale and Co. will be at Irvine Meadows May 11 and 12, with special guests Bad English filling out the bill. . . . Twenty-one-year-old West Texas singer/songwriter Will T. Massey has always idolized fellow Texans Steve Earle and Lyle Lovett. So imagine Massey’s delight to find both of his heroes in the audience at Cafe Largo, where the youngster played a showcase gig for his new record company, MCA Records. In fact, when Massey broke a guitar string in mid-set, Earle hopped out of the audience and helped change the string for him. Better still, when Massey met his Texas elders after the show, Earle asked Massey to open his acoustic show this Friday at McCabe’s. . . . And local rocksters Celebrity Skin will appear on the March 6 episode of “thirtysomething,” performing in a night-club. If you want to see them in real life, make a note: they’ll be at the Roxy April 13, on a sizzling triple-bill with Liquid Jesus and the Weirdos.
