A New Really Good Shew?: NBC and talk-show king Larry King are talking about doing a pilot for a prime-time series. According to King, he would host the live program weekly from the stage of a New York theater, featuring “newsmakers in the audience and new acts.” But NBC officials denied suggestions that the project would be an Ed Sullivan-type variety show, describing it instead as an informational program. There is no deal yet; King said that the discussions started when NBC Entertainment President Brandon Tartikoff appeared on King’s radio show.
