Lockout Has Driven Readers to Distraction
- Share via
It is past time to focus on what is now obvious. The baseball owners and the players association, by their complicity in allowing this lockout to continue, are in fact:
--Interrupting the annual progress of the season that by itself is an integral part of the game’s fabric and appeal.
--Demonstrating that they hold no regard for the communities that support and provide for spring training and their facilities.
Their collective attitudes on these fronts is inexcusable and indefensible. The following conclusion can be drawn: An immediate agreement facilitating the players reporting and playing is the only one that is acceptable.
Both sides should admit that their positions affect us--the fans--not just themselves. We are baseball.
