Authorities have dropped an assault charge against boxer Michael Nunn in a neighborhood fracas in Davenport, Iowa, and the prosecutor insists he treated Nunn just as he would have treated any other defendant.
Nunn was arrested on Oct. 1 and charged with simple assault after a neighborhood street brawl in which his mother and nephew also were arrested.
The mother and nephew pleaded guilty to lesser charges and were fined $100 each.
