Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon hit the road in Pathe’s “Thelma and Louise.” Ridley Scott, who produces along with Mimi Polk, will direct Tallie Khoury’s script about two women who go off for a weekend without their men and run into both humorous and dire situations. Filming begins in June with locations in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.

Jennifer Beals stars as a singer suffering from a string of bad relationships and an addiction to an aphrodisiac called Libido in IRS Media’s “Blood and Concrete,” to be directed by Jeffrey Reiner. Richard LaBrie’s script is an erotic thriller set in a seamy Hollywood underground of crime, terrorists and rock ‘n’ roll. Expect a sound track heavy with artists from IRS’ record divisions. The film rolls in early May.

New York stage actor Kevin Anderson has replaced Aidan Quinn in “Sleeping With the Enemy,” a Fox film being directed by Joseph Ruben for producer Leonard Goldberg. All parties agree that the role--that of a violent man searching for a wife who has taken a new identity--changed since Quinn originally agreed to play the part. The cast, which includes Julia Roberts and Patrick Bergin, is in rehearsal with an April 2 start date in North and South Carolina.

Helen Slater and Joe Morton take on city hall over a parking ticket in M.C.E.G.’s “In Deep.” The black comedy, to be directed by Keith Gordon and produced by Jonathan D. Krane from a script by George Beckerman, begins production in May in Dallas.

Henry Winkler will direct Stan Shaw in “The Butterscotch Kid,” a period comedy about the end of the black vaudeville circuit in 1953. The film will be produced by Eddie Murphy’s production company for Paramount.

Michael Biehn has the lead in Raffaella De Laurentiis’ “Nameless.” Award-winning Israeli director Avi Nesher will direct the action-thriller about a watch repairman, who must suddenly recall his past to understand why someone is trying to assassinate him. The film shoots in L.A. and Valencia in mid-April.
