Laine Hospitalized: Singer Frankie Laine, whose hits include “Jezebel” and “Mule Train,” observed his 77th birthday Friday in a St. Louis hospital where he is undergoing testing because of chest pains. Laine was taken to the hospital after suffering chest pains before a performance Tuesday night. The singer said his doctors were giving him medication and had told him that they hoped to release him from the hospital Tuesday. Laine underwent a quadruple-bypass heart operation in San Diego in 1985 after an apparent heart attack.
