Ron Palombi Jr. had eight consecutive strikes to beat Amleto Monacelli, 269-205, in the championship match of the $400,000 Seagrams U.S. Open at Indianapolis.
Palombi, 27, of Erie, Pa., earned $80,000--the richest prize ever on the Professional Bowlers Tour.
