A grand jury in Mobile County, Ala., has issued subpoenas in its investigation of a report that a relative of Alabama linebacker Keith McCants might have received money from agent Lance Luchnick.

McCants, who gave up his final year of eligibility to make himself available for the NFL draft April 22, signed Luchnick to negotiate his first professional contract.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, in a story March 20, quoted an unidentified relative of McCants as saying Luchnick had given money to another relative, but not McCants or his mother, Cindy.
